Important Hospital Policies
To maintain our standard for compassionate care while also being punctual and safe, we have a few policies we ask patrons to keep in mind.
Making Appointments and Checking In
For the most part, Howell is appointment only. That being said, we will always do our best to accommodate emergencies and work established clients into our schedule.
To keep patient stress at a minimum and make sure our lobby is a safe place for all, we ask that all cats be in carriers and all dogs be leashed. If your pet needs extra space around other animals or you suspect they might have an infectious disease, like kennel cough, please give us a call when you arrive and we will accommodate accordingly.
Cancellation and Late Policies
Time management is crucial to our everyday clinic operations, so we ask that clients be respectful when canceling or rescheduling appointments. Please provide us 24-hours notice. Howell Avenue Pet Hospital staff will sometimes need to reschedule if you are more than 10 minutes late to an appointment, so please be punctual.
If this is your pet’s first time seeing us, please arrive 5-10 minutes early and have previous health and vaccine records ready. You may email records to us ahead of time as well.
In order to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you can call us at 513-221-3404 or email info@howellavenuepethospital.com.
For established clients, we employ a 3 strike rule policy for missing an appointment with no notice, and we may also charge a missed exam fee. If you are a new client and miss your appointment without giving us prior notice, Howell reserves the right to deny future services.
Billing Policy
After your appointment, you will be expected to pay the bill in full. Howell does not offer payment plans or participate in pet insurance Direct Pay programs, but we do accept all major credit cards, cash, checks, and Care Credit.
